Objectives

Become knowledgeable in patient selection, preoperative preparation, markings, tumescent anesthesia infiltration liposuction of the breast, microfat transfer to breast and endoscopic assisted cosmetic breast surgery technique
Learn effective marketing strategies for building cosmetic breast surgery practice

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is designed for surgeons seeking to expand their range of safe and effective body contouring options. At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be knowledgeable in the principles of effective cosmetic breast surgeries and be able to safety and effectively perform these procedures under local, sedation or general anesthesia.

Breast surgical anatomy and the fundamentals of breast aesthetics Shape, cleavage, symmetry, size, body types, ptosis, nipple/areolar complex position and appearance.

10:00 – 10:15 am
Applying breast aesthetics to surgery. An overview of breast augmentation, reduction mammaplasty and mastopexy.

10:15 – 10:30 am
Augmentation mammaplasty.
Patient assessment and selection. Preoperative workup. Breast volume determination. Selecting the type of implant.

10:30 – 10:45 am
Augmentation mammaplasty techniques:
The standard inframammary, periareolar and axillary approches.
Advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
Selecting the implant position: subglandular or subpectoral.
Advantages and disadvantages.

10:45 – 11:15 am
The endoscopic-assisted axillary approach under local tumescent.
Anesthesia for the performance of cosmetic breast surgery.
Key anatomical landmarks and measurements for placement of the implants.

11:15 – 11:30 am
Breast augmentation using autologous fat injections.
Technique. Advantages/disadvantages of the procedure.

Immediate and delayed post operative care of breast implants.

11:55 – 12:30 pm
Prevention and management of breast implants complications:
Capsular contraction, deflation/rupture, hematoma, infection, symmastia, Mondor’s disease, scarring.

12:30 – 1:30 pm
Augmentation mammoplasty video session.
