TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is designed for surgeons seeking to expand their range of safe and effective body
contouring options. At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be knowledgeable in the principles of effective
cosmetic breast surgeries and be able to safety and effectively perform these procedures under local, sedation
or general anesthesia.

Applying breast aesthetics to surgery. An overview of breast augmentation, reduction mammaplasty and mastopexy.

Augmentation mammaplasty.
Patient assessment and selection. Preoperative workup. Breast volume determination. Selecting the type of implant.

Augmentation mammaplasty techniques:
The standard inframammary, periareolar and axillary approches.
Advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
Selecting the implant position: subglandular or subpectoral.
